Click on the ‘Book EPC’ link, and you will be taken to a form which provides us with all the information we need to arrange your survey. It should take no more than a couple of minutes to fill out. If you’re not sure about anything, make your best guess, and say what you’ve done in the comments. |
| Once we receive your form, someone will phone you to arrange a convenient time to survey the property. This call should be the same day, unless it’s the evening/weekend. |
| The survey takes 20 – 30 minutes inside the property, and involves the surveyor documenting all elements of your heating system, and how the property is built. The surveyor will also measure the property to calculate the volume that needs heating. |
| Once back at the office this information is fed into a piece of computer software which calculates the rating and produces the certificate, which will then be emailed through to you. We will tell you when you can expect your certificate at the time of arranging your survey. If you’re not happy with the timescale, you are more than welcome to cancel the order at that point, and any monies received will be refunded. |
| For rental properties the EPC certificate is usually completed by the end of the next working day, as you need it to advertise the property. House sales will sometimes take longer depending on our workload, as you don’t need the EPC to market the property, and current Government guidelines state you have 28 days in which to get it done. |
| The guidelines state that you must have commissioned an EPC for an Estate Agent to market your property, and we will email a copy of your order to an agent on request, once we have arranged the survey with you. |
| For tenanted properties we can deal directly with the tenant if you don’t wish to attend the survey, and we can also pick up/return keys to Estate/Letting agents if required. |

| HOW DO I PAY? |
| You can pay in advance via paypal or bank transfer, or pay in person at the end of the survey by cash or cheque. There are paypal links at the end of the order form process. |
| We do this so we don’t have to spend time chasing money and don’t incur bad debts, meaning we can keep our prices as low as possible. |
